New: Last contacted, opportunity history and more with our new stats

Written by Jake on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Following on from our earlier post where we introduced the new sales report in Tactile CRM, the second new feature we released today is the summary stats feature.

This new feature has been added to organisations, people and opportunities and allows you to see at a glance the key facts about what you are looking at.

Organisations and People Stats

About to contact an organisation or person? Now you can see when they were last contacted, what there is in the sales pipeline and what your win rate and average time to close has been on previous opportunities/deals.

Organisation View

Opportunity Stats

We’ve also updated the stats and opportunity views so that you can easily update the pipeline stage on opportunities and see the opportunity/deal value, probability and expected close date/age.

Opportunity Stats

These new stats are now available in Tactile CRM for users on paid plans. We hope you find it a useful addition to Tactile CRM and as always would value any feedback or suggestions you have that can make Tactile CRM even better.

New: Sales Reports

Written by Jake on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

There is a lot of valuable data in your CRM system and knowing what has happened is just as important as knowing what you have in your sales pipeline.

So we’re pleased to announce the new sales report we have released for Tactile CRM – it is designed to compliment the existing pipeline report and allows you to see a 30/60/90 day report of all you won opportunities/deals.

30/60/90 Day Sales Report

You can even choose which period you want to view the report for with the handy date picker, and as an admin you can view the report for all users, or choose those you are interested in:

The new report is now available from the ‘Reports’ menu in Tactile for users on paid plans. We hope you find it a useful addition to Tactile CRM and as always would value any feedback or suggestions you have that can make Tactile CRM even better.

New: Dropbox System

Written by Jake on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

It’s taken a while and a lot of testing but we released the new version of our dropbox system today. With the new system:

  • Email is parsed in realtime, no more waiting for email to appear
  • Each Organisation, Person (and most importantly) Opportunity, now have their own dropbox so you can attach email directly without having to login
  • You can now forward email automatically from your mail client to the dropbox to automatically keep email up to date

If you already use the built in email client in Tactile CRM, or use the mail links you don’t need to do anything different. However if you have your old dropbox address saved in your mail client you will need to update it to the new address. You can easily find it by logging in, clicking on the email tab and getting it there:

The old dropbox system will carry on working until the end of November at which point it will be turned off.

We hope you find this new feature useful and easy to use. Do let us know if you have any thoughts, comments or feedback.

New: Updated View Pages

Written by Jake on Monday, October 26th, 2009

If you log into Tactile CRM today, you’ll notice that we’ve made some changes to the way you view organisations, people, opportunities and activities.

As the first stage in making the view pages more useful we’ve added the ability to show/hide the information relating to the item and the ‘Recent Activity & Notes’ – so if you are more interested in notes/emails etc., you can hide the items details, or vice versa.

New Item View

This new view applies to organisations, people, opportunities and activities.

We’ve also moved the permissions/created/last updated information in to the main area to remove some of the clutter from the right hand side and added this information to opportunities and activities (it was not displayed before).

We hope you find this update useful and it makes using Tactile CRM even easier. Keep an eye out for more updates coming soon, and as always do please let us have any feedback.

Case Study: Writing It Right for You

Written by admin on Friday, October 9th, 2009

Your Name: Pamela Hilliard Owens
Your Company name: Writing It Right for You
How many people do you employ?: 1 employee (me) and several full-time and part-time contractors

About My Company

Writing It Right for You, knows that “It Matters How You Say It”! I work with individuals, university students, and businesses throughout the United States, Canada, the Middle East, India, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom on a variety of writing and editing projects of all sizes.

How long have you been using Tactile CRM?

After trying about just about every CRM out there, I have been consistently using Tactile CRM for about eight months.

How has Tactile CRM helped you manage your business and time?:

Tactile CRM is extremely helpful for me to keep up with the proposals and projects of myself and my team. I just input the information once, and the application keeps up with everything: emails, proposals won, lost, or cancelled, activities to be completed for the sales process, and my sales pipeline and sales history.

What specific problems has Tactile CRM solved for you?

I now have one place to keep all of the emails and documents for a particular client–and keeps them separated for each contractor. I can see graphs and run reports for myself, the whole company, or each contractor. I can click on a prospect or client and see their entire history, including our email conversations and their Freshbooks invoices. I can also keep track of activities and events on my Outlook and Google Calendars, which of course show up on my Blackberry and iPhone. I can immediately see what’s going on for everyone quickly and easily in one place. I don’t have to switch back and forth between programs and I can “fire up” TactileCRM from any computer or mobile platform. Plus, since Tactile CRM is “in the cloud”, my assistant can log on from her office and my contractors can log on from wherever they are (and they are everywhere!) and everything stays current.

If you were recommending Tactile CRM for friends in business what would you say?

With Tactile CRM, you will have a robust, cutting-edge CRM application that will serve your small business well. No bloat, continuous upgrades and improvements, Freshbooks integration, and super-fast and fantastic customer service. You also get Jake…which makes the very affordable subscription price worth it!

How do I subscribe to my activities in Google Calendar/GCal?

Written by admin on Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

Tactile CRM provides an iCal feed you can subscribe to in your favourite calendar application. These instructions show how to easily add your events to Google Calendar where they will be automatically kept up to date:

  1. Sign into Tactile CRM, visit your preferences, and under ‘External Access’ copy your ‘Calendar URL’, if you don’t already have one you can click the button to automatically generate it
    Find your iCal Feed
  2. In your Google Calendar simply click the add button (on the left hand side, under ‘Other Calendars’) and then the ‘Add by URL’ link
    Add a calendar to GCal
  3. In the pop up window, paste the calendar URL from (1), click ‘Add Calendar’ and you events will be pulled through to Google Calendar and kept up to date.
    Subscribe to your iCal Feed

Google Calendar does not currently deal with ‘ToDo Items’ so only events that are added in Tactile CRM will appear in Google Calendar

Google Calendar will periodically update with the latest changes from Tactile CRM, and events other people assign to you will also show up in your iCal feed/Google Calendar.

New System and Status Page

Written by admin on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

With the move to our new infrastructure we’ve setup a new resource for system and status updates for Tactile CRM. You can visit the new page which is hosted in a different data centre to our main service (so if in the unlikely scenario something does go wrong it will still be available to keep you up to date).
