4.2 – RSS Release

This release included a number of new features including the much requested RSS feed for dashboards and objects (including organisations, people, opportunities and activities). The full list of new features and bug fixes are below:

  • Update the quick add person dialog to include additional fields such as job title
  • Add an RSS feed for the dashboard recent activity
  • RSS feed of recent activity
  • Added anti-spam measures to the Web Form
  • Made the company name in header a link to view the company
  • Fixed deleted items remaining in Recently Viewed
  • Allowed activities to be assigned to an opportunity
  • Fixed addresses and phone number labels that are not imported from Google contacts

4.1 – Interim Bug Release

This interim bug release addresses a number of bug fixes and a number of minor feature enhancements including (but not limited too):

  • New user name request system that allows users sharing the same email to function as expected
  • Stopped deleted items showing up in the recently view list
  • Fixed a restriction issues that stopped filters with '&' working properly
  • Fixed todo editing so that the time wasn't lost
  • Updates to deal with issues with character sets
  • Fixed missing hh:mm when using the activity quick add
  • Fixed bug that allowed editing of archived opportunities
  • Standarised the opportunity terminology
  • Fixed a bug that stops tags being merged with organisations/people
  • Added the 'from' address on unassigned emails
  • Added search by email

New: Activities CSV Export

We’re pleased to announce the release of our new export method for activities. Now, in addition to offering our iCal feed, you can export activities as a CSV file, and filter by tag too.

All you need to do is login, click on the activities tab and the new export options are available on the right.

Hopefully this will be useful to those of you who like to build slightly more customised reports and view your todos/activities in Excel.

New: Last contacted, opportunity history and more with our new stats

Following on from our earlier post where we introduced the new sales report in Tactile CRM, the second new feature we released today is the summary stats feature.

This new feature has been added to organisations, people and opportunities and allows you to see at a glance the key facts about what you are looking at.

About to contact an organisation or person? Now you can see when they were last contacted, what there is in the sales pipeline and what your win rate and average time to close has been on previous opportunities/deals.

We’ve also updated the stats and opportunity views so that you can easily update the pipeline stage on opportunities and see the opportunity/deal value, probability and expected close date/age.

New: Sales Reports

There is a lot of valuable data in your CRM system and knowing what has happened is just as important as knowing what you have in your sales pipeline.

So we’re pleased to announce the new sales report we have released for Tactile CRM – it is designed to compliment the existing pipeline report and allows you to see a 30/60/90 day report of all you won opportunities/deals.

You can even choose which period you want to view the report for with the handy date picker, and as an admin you can view the report for all users, or choose those you are interested in:

The new report is now available from the ‘Reports’ menu in Tactile for users on paid plans. We hope you find it a useful addition to Tactile CRM and as always would value any feedback or suggestions you have that can make Tactile CRM even better.

New: Dropbox System

It’s taken a while and a lot of testing but we released the new version of our dropbox system today. With the new system:

  • Email is parsed in realtime, no more waiting for email to appear
  • Each Organisation, Person (and most importantly) Opportunity, now have their own dropbox so you can attach email directly without having to login
  • You can now forward email automatically from your mail client to the dropbox to automatically keep email up to date

If you already use the built in email client in Tactile CRM, or use the mail links you don’t need to do anything different. However if you have your old dropbox address saved in your mail client you will need to update it to the new address. You can easily find it by logging in, clicking on the email tab and getting it there:


The old dropbox system will carry on working until the end of November at which point it will be turned off.

New: Updated View Pages

If you log into Tactile CRM today, you’ll notice that we’ve made some changes to the way you view organisations, people, opportunities and activities.

As the first stage in making the view pages more useful we’ve added the ability to show/hide the information relating to the item and the ‘Recent Activity & Notes’ – so if you are more interested in notes/emails etc., you can hide the items details, or vice versa.

New Item View

This new view applies to organisations, people, opportunities and activities.

We’ve also moved the permissions/created/last updated information in to the main area to remove some of the clutter from the right hand side and added this information to opportunities and activities (it was not displayed before).

We hope you find this update useful and it makes using Tactile CRM even easier. Keep an eye out for more updates coming soon, and as always do please let us have any feedback.

Email from Tactile CRM

We’re really pleased to announce that you can now email directly from within Tactile CRM – all you need to do is login and click on an email address:

You’ll be asked to verify your email address the first time, but after that it’s plain sailing.

Full details are in the help where it tells you how to add templates, site wide email addresses and more.

As always, let us know your comments, thoughts and feedback. The new email system was lead by customer suggestions so we’d love to hear any other ideas you may have.

See organisation’s details against a person

We’ve updated Tactile CRM so you can now easily see an organisation’s contact details (phone, fax, address etc.) when viewing a person.

It’s often the case that you’ll be dealing with several people at the same organisation and they all share the same phone number and address. Instead of entering it multiple times you can now see them when viewing the person:

We’ve also extended this to opportunities and activities so important contact details are always on your screen.
